Fakuma 2024

From October 15 to 19, 2024, FIMRO GmbH and Fondarex SA presented their latest technological developments at Fakuma 2024 in Friedrichshafen, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for plastics processing and injection molding technology.

With an improved design and an optimized control unit, FIMRO GmbH introduced its further developed SPM product family. The SPM (flushing and testing machine) is a specialized system for the cleaning and testing of tempering channels and cooling circuits in injection molds. In addition to the proven standard machines, the fair highlighted the extensive customization options of the SPM systems, allowing them to be precisely adapted to specific customer requirements.

The SPM flushing and testing machines for tempering channels and cooling circuits enable the reliable removal of deposits and contaminants while ensuring a stable and uniform temperature balance within the mold. In the same operation, flow testing and pressure testing can be carried out. This significantly increases process reliability, improves part quality, and sustainably reduces production downtime.

Another highlight of the exhibition was the presentation of the Fondarex Plast, a solution for the active venting of cavities in injection molds. This active cavity venting effectively prevents problems caused by trapped air, such as burn marks or incomplete filling. At the same time, contaminants are removed from the cavity, which significantly extends the service life of injection molds between cleaning cycles and improves the surface quality of molded parts.

The trade fair also saw extensive discussions regarding the possibility of a comprehensive service offering for tempering units of all manufacturers provided by FIMRO GmbH. This manufacturer-independent service for tempering equipment includes maintenance, repair, inspection, and optimization of existing units. The goal is to provide customers with reliable, high-performance, and process-stable tempering units, helping to prevent unplanned production downtime.

With this holistic approach, FIMRO GmbH positions itself as a competent partner for tempering technology, mold temperature control, and process reliability in injection molding.

The joint appearance at Fakuma 2024 once again underlined the successful cooperation between FIMRO GmbH and Fondarex SA, showcasing practical solutions for the increasing demands on quality, efficiency, and economic performance in modern plastics processing.
